What It Does
The AI Copilot is like a bandmate who listens to what you’ve recorded and offers suggestions. It sees your recording’s key, BPM, chords, and transcription, then can suggest:
- Chord progressions
- Melody ideas
- Lyric directions
- Arrangement suggestions
- And more
Suggested chord progressions and melodies can be played back directly in the app.
Setup
The AI Copilot uses your own API key. Good Take supports:
- Claude (Anthropic)
- ChatGPT (OpenAI)
Go to Settings and enter your API key. Your key is stored on your device and sent directly to the API provider — Good Take never sees or stores your requests.
Custom Instructions
You can set custom instructions to shape the AI’s style. Tell it your genre, influences, what kind of feedback you want, or what to focus on. This helps the suggestions feel more relevant to how you work.
Optional and Additive
The AI Copilot is entirely optional. Every core feature of Good Take works completely offline with no API key needed.
